Step 2: Measure the Height

Measure the vertical distance from the ceiling to the floor (excluding the skirting/baseboard).

Step 3: Add a "Safety Margin"

Walls are rarely perfectly square. Always add 5cm to 10cm (2–4 inches) to both your total width and height. This extra "bleed" ensures you don't run short during installation and allows for trimming at the edges.
